Subterminal

Subterminal's principal musical focus explores the collision between soundscapes and poetry, using automatic writing expression - WORDSOUNDSCAPES. The automata is used on the construction of words/poems and sounds/music that jointly deliver messages to help society with one of the most important and forgotten concepts: REFLECTION.

Words and sounds have different meanings, depending on their listener, but only if s/he takes some time to delve into the complexity of his or her own stimuli.

Subterminal has been curator of FeedbackLoop Label since September 2009 and co-curator of XS Records, a Portuguese netlabel since May 2009. He is the sole member of Subterminal and released Bright Dawn Sketches with PublicSpaces Lab in 2010.

Subterminal also released Filled With Light with XS Records and Insight with Clinical Archives in 2009.

He was a participant in 3 workshops lectured by Vítor Rua, about composition and live performance in 2008 & 2009 and released a poetry book called Limiar in Corpos Editora in 2006. He has been a publisher of poetry in the fanzine (Ventre) and readings with music from 2000 until 2003.
