Enter Calico
Enter Calico, our debut compilation, is a collection of beautifully detailed tracks featuring ground-breaking electronic artists from around the world. Argentina, England, Germany, Holland, Japan, Portugal and the United States are all represented and this cultural diversity is reflected in the music and techniques showcased on CNR's stunning debut.
From the unusual beats of Calculus, which features a technique called a Risset rhythm (named after Jean-Claude Risset and referencing his work at Bell Labs in the 60's) to samples of car keys, swishing credit cards and other sounds from the daily grind manipulated and allowed to "fall away" in Samarah's composition, Enter Calico will dazzle and delight. Take a journey through the wonderfully sparse ambience of cloudchair's six string soundscapes to the energy of tricil's "The Emancipation".

So what's behind the term Ologie? "It's more or less a statement about the systematic, almost scientific approach to music I express here. I consider myself a deeply spiritual person but in a very scientific way. To me, spirituality and music are actually closely related sciences. Both are based on firm principles and both hold unlimited creative potential."
The results came quickly. "Creating tracks for Ologie Project was like a fever but they were developed over a couple of years. Listening today, I sometimes ask myself how I wrote them and where the sounds came from. It almost feels like these songs have been composed by someone else - a higher energy or mind - crazy as this may sound!

Founder of Summer Rain Recordings, David grew up in the seventies, surrounded by music (at least until he took his mother's record player apart at the age of 6 to see how it worked). His favourite toys were those that made or recorded sound. One of his most loved being the Stylaphone, which he was given at the age of 4.
All we need in return is an email address - and we promise we won't be spamming your inbox.
Candy Says by Thomas L. Raukamp - FREE DOWNLOAD
"I like to make everyday life stand still for a moment and reflect upon it", Raukamp says, "so that its gems may come to shine, often overlooked in the rush of the days." Taking his music to the stage as often as he has the chance, and performing with technology like the Tenori-on and AudioCubes, Thomas L. Raukamp has gained the recognition of well-known names, like Christopher von Deylen (Schiller) and Britain's synth-icon Howard Jones.
And today, we're GIVING AWAY Thomas' beautiful track "Candy Says" in exchange for a chance to hit your inbox with our important lable announcements - which means you'll be the first to know about new CNR releases, videos and events.
